Introduction

Most account scams follow the same few patterns. Here are six red flags to watch for, and how Phoenix AI helps keep your deal safe.

Red flag 1: paying outside the deal

The biggest red flag is a request to pay or chat outside the deal: a direct transfer, a gift card, or a payment link from the seller. Escrow can only protect money that's paid inside the deal.

Red flag 2: fake links

Watch out for links. Scammers send look-alike websites, fake escrow pages, and login screens that steal your password. Only pay on the real site, and check the address before you type anything.

Red flag 3: pressure

Pressure is a warning sign too. Another buyer is waiting, the price is only good today, pay right now. A genuine seller will let you take your time and ask questions.

Red flag 4: proof you can't check

Screenshots are easy to edit. Ask for a live screen recording or a walkthrough instead, and check the account yourself, before you pay and again before you confirm.

Red flag 5: asking for your codes

Never share a verification code, a two-factor code, or your own password. A seller never needs them to hand an account over to you.

Red flag 6: confirm first

And be careful if someone asks you to confirm receipt before you've checked everything. Confirming releases the payment, so only confirm when the account is really yours.

Meet Phoenix AI

That's where Phoenix AI comes in. Phoenix is the assistant built into every deal chat, and it works for both the buyer and the seller.

Phoenix watches for scams

Phoenix scans each new message for scam patterns, like requests to pay off the platform, pressure to release funds early, or account recovery tricks. When it spots a serious one, it posts a warning that both sides can see.

Dangerous links are blocked

The deal chat also checks every link. Look-alike sites and links to risky files are blocked before they're sent, and shortened links are flagged. Repeated safety violations can freeze a deal until a moderator reviews it.

Ask Phoenix for help

You can also ask Phoenix for help at any time. Just tag Phoenix in the chat, and it explains your next step based on where the deal is.

Phoenix in disputes

If a dispute is opened, Phoenix helps organize the evidence and summarize the case for review. But Phoenix doesn't decide. A human moderator makes the final decision on the money.

Five rules

Five rules to remember. Keep payment and chat inside the deal. Only use the real site. Take your time. Never share your codes. And confirm only when it's all yours.

Accounts with 100,000 followers or more are the top end of the TikTok market, and the prices reflect it. At this size the questions change: whether the audience follows the account for its topic or for the person on camera, and how much of the reach came from a few viral clips.

Topic accounts and personality accounts

An account built around a topic, such as recipes, football clips or product reviews, can usually keep its audience under a new owner who posts the same kind of video. An account built around one person's face or voice often cannot. Ask what the account posts and who appears in the videos.

Separate viral reach from steady reach

Large accounts often grew on two or three videos with millions of views. Look past those to the run of recent ordinary videos. Steady views across several weeks are worth more than a famous clip from last year.

Brand deals, LIVE and rewards

LIVE needs at least 1,000 followers in most regions and an account holder aged 18 or over, and Creator Rewards adds a views test and an eligible country. Brand-deal income usually belongs to the seller's relationships rather than the account, so do not price it in unless the seller can show agreements that move with it.

Handover and TikTok's rules

Change the email, phone number, password and two-step verification during the deal and test each one from your own device. TikTok's terms do not allow an account to be transferred without its permission, so weigh that risk before buying.

Common questions

Some will leave. Followers who came for a topic often stay if you keep posting about it, while followers who came for the previous creator usually drift away. Plan your content around what the account already posts.
Check the views and comments on ordinary recent videos and the growth pattern in analytics. Sudden jumps with no viral video behind them point to bought followers.
Escrozon holds payment during delivery and inspection. Review the listing and check what you receive before confirming. If there is a problem, open a dispute within the deal; if you neither confirm nor dispute, payment may be released to the seller 30 days after delivery starts.
Document the difference in the deal and open a dispute before confirming receipt. A moderator reviews the listing, chat and evidence from both sides. The outcome depends on that review; a refund is not automatic.
