Selling a Discord account privately means handing credentials to a stranger and hoping the payment arrives, or taking a payment that can be reversed weeks later. Which badges make an account worth selling
Value concentrates in what can no longer be obtained. Early Supporter went only to accounts that bought Nitro before 10 October 2018. Early Verified Bot Developer stopped being issued in 2020. HypeSquad Events, Moderator Programs Alumni and Partnered Server Owner are closed too. Bug Hunter is still awarded, but only to active members of Discord's Testers community, so few accounts have it. Selling a Partner account, and what happened to Active Developer
Discord lists the Partnered Server Owner badge as no longer obtainable, so buyers treat it as a closed badge, but they will ask whether the partnered server is part of the sale, because the badge still rests on that partnership. Say clearly whether it is included. If your account used to show Active Developer, leave it out of the listing: Discord removed that badge from every profile in December 2025, and a buyer who sees it in an old screenshot will expect to find it. Being precise about both avoids the most common badge disputes.
Where to sell a Discord account
Escrow marketplaces list your account for buyers who are already comparing badges and hold their payment during the handover. Trading servers and forums reach buyers but usually leave payment to trust. Offers in direct messages are where most seller-side scams begin, including fake payment confirmations and buyers who ask to 'check the login' first. How much is your Discord account worth?
It depends almost entirely on what cannot be re-earned: closed badges, account age and username rarity, with badge combinations worth more than the badges on their own. Get the account clean before you list
Remove the phone number and any linked payment method, and cancel any active Nitro subscription rather than leaving it billing you. Buyers will ask whether the account has ever been disabled or warned, and an honest answer up front avoids a dispute once the money is in escrow.
How the handover works
The buyer funds the deal before you hand over anything. You change the account's email to one the buyer controls, share the password, and turn off two-factor authentication at that moment so the buyer can set up their own. The buyer logs in, confirms the badges and the email are theirs, and confirms receipt; the funds are then released. The original email matters most: a buyer will not confirm while you still control it, because it can be used to recover the account.
Fees and when you get paid
Listing is free. The buyer pays a 6% escrow fee on top of your price, so the price you set is what reaches your Escrozon wallet when the deal completes. Moving money out of your wallet carries a 3% withdrawal fee, and promotion such as bumping a listing is optional. Funds are released when the buyer confirms receipt, or by a moderator's decision if either side opens a dispute.
