Nitro and boost badges are two different things

Diamond is the name of one of Discord's Nitro subscription badge levels. Server boosting earns a separate badge, the Server Booster badge. Both depend on money being spent after the sale.

Nitro badges such as Emerald, Ruby and Opal work differently from legacy badges. Discord shows the Nitro badge only while the account is subscribed, and hovering over it shows when the subscription started. If Nitro runs out after the sale, the badge leaves the profile.

The Server Booster badge grows with an unbroken boosting streak. Discord's help centre says that if an account stops boosting, even briefly, the streak and the badge go back to the first level. A long boost badge only survives if a boost keeps running through the handover and after it, and from then on you're the one paying for it.

What the screenshot shows
